World Rankings

๐Ÿ“Š How the FIPFA World Rankings Work

The FIPFA World Rankings use a simple, points-based system to reflect performance at the sportโ€™s most important international competitions. Rankings reward success at the highest level while ensuring fairness and global representation.

๐ŸŒ World Cup

The highest-weighted competition

๐Ÿ† Maximum points: 1,000
๐Ÿ“ˆ Points awarded: 100-point steps per finishing position

The World Cup carries the greatest weighting due to its global reach and competitive depth. The tournament winner receives the maximum points, with points decreasing for each subsequent place.

๐ŸŒ Zone Events

Continental & Regional competitions

๐ŸŒ Maximum points: 500 (based on 10 teams)
๐Ÿ“‰ Points awarded: 50-point steps per finishing position
โš–๏ธ Pro-rated where fewer than 10 teams compete

Zone Events ensure global participation and development, with points adjusted to maintain fairness across regions.

๐Ÿงฎ Overall Rankings

How totals are calculated

๐Ÿ“‹ Points earned across all eligible competitions are added together
๐Ÿ“‹ The combined total determines a nationโ€™s position in the FIPFA World Rankings

This approach ensures the rankings reflect competitive success, depth, and sustained performance at international level.
