Created in 2011, the SPFA is the Swiss association for electric wheelchair football. This sport is commonly referred to as Powerchair Football. 

The SPFA is officially part of the European Zone and part of the EPFA, the European Powerchair Football Association. It is also the reference body with regard to the regulations, the clubs, the Swiss Championship and also the others international competitions involving Swiss Clubs or the National Team.
