Laws of the Game

The laws of the game are the cornerstone of powerchair football. They ensure a level playing field, fostering both competitive fairness and the safety of all participants. The laws embody the spirit of the game, encapsulating its values, promoting inclusivity, and preserving its integrity. By providing clear guidelines and standards, they enable players from around the world to come together with a shared understanding, ensuring the sport remains both engaging for spectators and rewarding for those on the pitch.

In March 2020, the FIPFA Sports Department embarked on a comprehensive review of the Laws of the Game. After several months of meticulous evaluation and deliberation, the proposed revisions received the green light from the Executive Board in August 2020.

With this endorsement, the updated Laws, along with the accompanying Technical Document, were instituted. As of November 15, 2020, these refined regulations have been in effect and are being utiliaed at all international events.
