FIPFA are delighted to have appointed Jeff Davis as Coaching Officer.

As Coaching Officer, Jeff Davis will be FIPFA’s point of contact for requests on coaching guidance. Jeff will lead on establishing a working group and developing coaching resources and ideas for new and developing coaches. As FIPFA’s point of contact for requests on coaching guidance, Jeff will be reviewing the need for creating a coaching pathway for powerchair football.

For 23 years, Jeff worked for the English Football Association and was the first National Disability Manager globally. Throughout his time at the FA, Jeff worked closely with FIPFA President Ricky Stevenson and others to ensure powerchair football was a safe and inclusive format of disability football.

Jeff has coached at the highest level in Para Football, going to four Paralympic Games and being the Performance Director for Team GB at three Paralympic Games. Jeff was a member of The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Football Committee for ten years and was responsible for developing the Introduction to Blind Coaching coaching course during the Pandemic.

Working closely with FIPFA Director of Sport Sophie Bevan, Jeff will develop coaching resources across the game and establish a coaching community that supports and progresses powerchair coaching practices worldwide.
