The United States Power Soccer Association National ChampionshipTournament, hosted by Power Soccer of Indy, was held June 18-21 in Fishers, Indiana. In addition to competing to be USA champions, the 10 participating Division 1 teams were vying to be one of the top 4 finishers and assure themselves of an invitation to the Americas Champions Cup this October.

With their quarterfinal victories, Circle City Rollers, Atlanta Synergy, RHI Sudden Impact and Ball State Cardinals won the coveted spots at the Americas Champions Cup. The Circle City Rollers went on to capture the national title with a thrilling shoot-out victory over Atlanta Synergy, while RHI Sudden Impact took 3rd over the Ball State Cardinals.

Circle City Rollers are led by 2007 USA World Cup Team member Michael Archer, and have won 2 of the last 3 USA championships. Atlanta Synergy’s roster includes two 2007 USA World Cup players, Dakotah Smith and Eddie McGuire and one from the French 2007 team, Jerome Durand. Last year’s national champion, RHI Sudden Impact features 2 time national MVP Katie Dickey (co-MVP with Archer in 2008). The Ball State Cardinals, formed this year, start two 2007 USA World Cup players, J. C. Russo and Natalie Russo.
