After a number of emails conversations FIPFA President Hervé Delattre and FIPFA Sports Department President Adam Parry recently spent 2 days in Singapore with a view to lending support. Over the 2 days the FIPFA delegate met with Singapore Disability Sports Council, Singapore Futsal Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore). Singapore already has a small Powerchair Football scheme going that is being run by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) who actually launched the sport in Singapore in February this year. Approximately 20 young people from around the city take part in the weekly training sessions.

Over the 2 days the FIPFA delegates discussed Powerchair Football and the ways in which FIPFA could support Singapore with the intention of running a clinic later in the year.

Following the discussions the FIPFA delegates moved to the Handicap Welfare Association where they witnessed a Powerchair Football training session and passed on some hints and tips as well as helping to referee the game between the participants.
